Father's Day 5K and Family Run
This upcoming Sunday is Father’s Day and the Royal Palm Beach Commons in Royal Palm Beach is hosting a 5K run and Family Fun run to raise money for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society. The money raised will be donated to help with research and to help find a cure to end blood cancers.
The event is a family affair and has something for everyone to participate. This year the run enters in its 6th year and has moved from Wellington to Royal Palm Beach to accommodate more people for the runs. The Royal Palm Beach Commons has over 163 acres filled with great running trails ad paths, a large dog park, children’s playgrounds, picnic pavilions, golf, a 19-acre lake and much more.
Finishing medals will be rewarded to those who participate in the day’s activities, First Place for male and female, Top 3 in age category for male and female, and Masters awards for male and females. For the first 200 people that register, there will be a free t-shirt given. After the run there will also be a pancake breakfast at the finish line.
In addition to the 5K run, there will also be kids races, a free diaper dash, and numerous kids’ activities. A Lilly Pulitzer pop-up shop will be at the run to pick up any last-minute gifts for Father’s Day, and 10% of the sales will be donated to the event.
Registration is required for the run and costs $35 dollars. The race starts at 7 am to 10 am at the Royal Palm Beach Commons located at 11600 Poinciana Boulevard in Royal Palm Beach. Click here for more information.
