There hasn’t been and artist in the twentieth century quite like Georgia O’Keeffe. The brilliant modernist is the focus of the captivating exhibit. O’Keeffe is associated with the Southwest of the United States.  In addition to be being recognized for her New York Skyscapers, she is well known for the vibrant, abstract landscapes and flowers she created in the Southwest. O'Keeffe is respected as the "Mother of American Modernism".

O’Keeffe wanted to spend her time painting, not bothering with what she was going to wear. The articles of clothing in this exhibit is much of the clothing she defaulted to.  The minimalist opted for similar cut pieces and in basic hues of black, white, beige, and some muted colors.

The Norton Museum of Art will be the final venue on the exhibits national tour.  “Georgia O’Keeffe: Living Modern” is the first substantial O’Keeffe exhibit in this area in more than a 10-year span. Catch the grand exhibit before the national tour ends.
