Good News on Coronavirus Treatment

Good news from Infectious disease expert, Dr. Anthony Fauci.  Dr. Fauci spoke of the developments of  the trial examining an experimental drug medication for the coronavirus.   

Dr. Fauci has advised six Presidents on HIV/AIDS and many other domestic and global health issues. He was one of the principal architects of the President’s Emergency Plan for AIDS Relief (PEPFAR), a program that has saved millions of lives throughout the developing world.

A randomized controlled study of the worldwide trial of the drug Remdesivir.  It has resulted in "quite good news”. According to Dr. Fauci, results of the trial have indicated a shortening of the period patients experienced symptoms and potentially slightly reducing the mortality rate.  The White House's coronavirus task force, and the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases sponsored the trial.  Dr. Fauci said, the advancement is "very optimistic. It has proven is that a drug can block this virus”.
