Great adventure awaits in Palm Beach County. It’s always fun to do something new, but often we fall into the trap of spending our weekends the same way.  Step outside of your comfort zone and get creative.  If you're stuck in the same old routine, it's time to try something new. McCarthy’s Wildlife Sanctuary, 12943 61st Street North, West Palm Beach, will help you get in touch with the adventurer within you.If you’re stuck in the same old routine, it might be time to try something new.  When was the last time you went to a wildlife sanctuary? McCarthy’s Wildlife Sanctuary always has a great adventure waiting. You will encounter over 200 animals during your visit to the sanctuary. They offer tours of the facility which rescues and rehabilitates wild local wildlife.

Some of the big cats at the sanctuary are retired animal actors who are no longer working there are also rescues which the Florida Wildlife Commission have taken away because of lack of permits that are required in Florida. McCarthy’s wildlife sanctuary was involved in rescuing a cougar and a tiger that were seized from a small motel in Orlando turned over to the sanctuary.  The owner was arrested. The cougar was renamed “Repo” and the tiger renamed “Slammer” and love their new home!

Guided tours of the sanctuary are available by appointment only.
