Historic Palm Beach Walking Tours
Worth Avenue Association has announced that they will continue the tradition with historic Palm Beach walking tours.
The walking tours are led by Rick Rose, who is dressed to impress for every tour in his colorful suits and hats fit for the Palm Beach lifestyle.
The informative and fun tour occurs every Wednesday (non-holiday), starting this December 6th and will continue through April 2018. The tour last approximately one hour and fifteen minutes.
The walking tour covers all of the history of the famous Worth Avenue and the important influence the avenue has in the fashion world. In addition, the tour includes facts about the architectural designs and importance by Addison Mizner and his famous monkey friend, and the development of the popular social scene that was established in Palm Beach. The history is what made Palm Beach America’s first resort and the popular destination spot during the Gilded Age.
Tours begin at 11 am at 256 Worth Avenue (Via Amore), across the street from Tiffany & Co. and Chanel. The cost for the tour is $10 dollars with net proceeds benefitting The Garden Club Palm Beach. No reservations are required just simply bring your walking shoes and meet Rick and the other visitors for a day of history, fun, and Palm Beach.
