The holidays should be full of health and happiness. Many families in Palm Beach County and Martin County need assistance to fulfill those dreams. Some families will go without gifts, food, or even shelter. Those with means have the wonderful opportunity to assist those of lesser means.

During the holidays, Palm Beach County and nearby charities help children from low-income families. There are free Christmas toys, books, games as well as regional programs including Toys for Tots and Angel Tree from Salvation Army. Other assistance during Christmas and other holidays is available for senior citizens, the homeless, and the unemployed, among others. Everything from free Christmas presents to meals, gift cards, toys, dinners, clothing, and much more. Resources encompass Palm Beach, Martin, and St. Lucie County.

Depending on the charity organization, some only offer hot meals or food baskets. Other charities have collected new, unwrapped presents as well as toys, and these are then passed out to children from lower-income households in Palm Beach and nearby areas.

Please consider a donation this holiday season to Toys for Tots or perhaps the Salvation Army. Helping feels good and does good for the community. Happy Holidays!
