Experience a one-of-a-kind interactive sound and light show in West Palm Downtown Beach. The interactive art installation, known as “Impulse”, will bring the delight to people of all ages. “Impulse” is a publicly activated light and sound experience.  Synchronized sounds will illuminate the seesaws when in motion on Clematis Street from February 15th to March 29th, 2020. This is a “don’t miss” event which is fun for all ages - young and young at heart.

12 enormous illuminated seesaws respond and change color when put into motion setting a mood of a playful good time. The staple piece of playground equipment projects sounds and light when they are in motion. When fueled by the users and are inclined, “the seesaws, augmented by LED lights and speakers, will increase in light intensity and emit a randomized sound sequence”.  The seesaws will remain lit up throughout the night when not in use, creating a well-lit ambiance.

West Palm Beach Downtown Development Authority funded the project and it is presented by the West Palm Beach Arts & Entertainment District.  According to the West Palm Beach’s Downtown Development Authority the art installation will cost $60,000. This will be the first time this installation will be done in Florida.  It received rave reviews in Detroit, Dallas, Montreal and New York City.   FREE and open to the public. Hours are 10:00am -11:00pm.
