Head on over to Jupiter beach this Saturday morning, May 1, 2021 and join the Friends of Jupiter Beach as they help clean up the area shoreline.  Friends of Jupiter Beach is a nonprofit 501(c)3 whose goal is to support and maintain environmentally health, clean and dog-friendly beaches in Jupiter, Florida.

In 1994, the threat of closing the beach to dogs rallied a small group of concerned citizens, who quickly began organizing beach cleanups and providing dog waste bags at beach crossovers. Since then, the group has exploded, with individuals and businesses joining in an effort which “repeatedly demonstrate care for their marine environment and the privilege of taking our four-footed friends to one of the last dog beaches in the area”.

Collectively over time the Friends of Jupiter Beach has:

-         12 – monthly beach cleanups drawing an average of 200 volunteer per month

-         29 – dog bag boxes along a 2 1/2 mile stretch of beach, refilled continuously

-        490 – the average number of pounds of garbage removed the beach at each monthly cleanup

-      5,000 – friends, members, and sponsors

-  400,000 – sanitary dog bags dispensed for FREE usage by beach visitors

Please join the February Beach Cleanup, May 1, 2021 @ 8:30 am - 9:30 am.  Beach cleanup is sponsored by Jupiter Medical Center.

DESIGNATED CROSSOVERS:  27, 30, 37, 46 & 49
