Live Music at Abacoa Town Center

There are a number of musicians that perform in the establishments in Abacoa Town Center. On any given night you can hear these live acts blasting out of Jumby Bay, Rooneys, or the main stage at the West End of Town Center Dr.

Every Thursday from 8pm to 2am at Jumby Bay Island Grill, one can find live music from Mike Sanchez, a singer-songwriter who is currently promoting his album, Stars and Hotel Bars. Having opened for acts such as Daughtry, Sanchez’ music is primarily classified as R&B and soul, and his album boasts high reviews on iTunes. He started out collaborating with artists such as Eric Clapton and Mick Fleetwood and eventually decided to pursue a solo career. He is also known as part of Big Town Playboys and Bill Wymen’s Rhythm Kings.

On Fridays from 6pm to 10pm, Jumby Bay Island Grill features live music from Greg Hansen, a singer/songwriter from West Palm Beach, Florida. Greg’s newest single, “Tongue Tied” is now offered on iTunes and Spotify, and the official music video is available on YouTube. His music genre is classified as Indie/Pop and is similar to the musical styles of John Mayer, Passion Pit, and Ed Sheeran, to name a few.

On April 26, 2014 from 7pm to 9pm, there will be a Dinner & A Show Concert Series featuring a Beatles Tribute from Anthology the Band. Sponsored by Magic Hat Brewing Company and Kool 105.5, this performance is free and will be held at the Abacoa Town Center Amphitheater. Originally from Fort Lauderdale, Anthology is a high-energy 4-piece band whose sole dedication is performing Beatles music, giving the audience an accurate idea of what it would be like to actually be at a Beatles concert. Don’t forget to wear your dance shoes.

There are also a series of live bands at the Classic Car Cruise-In at the Abacoa Town Center Amphitheater, starting on April 12, from 4:30 to 8:30. Bands include LotSaPoppa on May 3 and The Motown-Philly Express on June 7. All makes and models are welcome at the Cruise-In.
