Jet skiing is a great way to gather your friends and family and explore the water around town. Whether you are just hanging out in the Jupiter Inlet, grabbing a quick bite to eat at a local waterside restaurant, going for a causal ride or just relaxing at the Jupiter Sandbar, we have some important information for you.

First, if you are considering renting a jet ski we have complied a list of jet ski watersport rentals (boat rentals available as well) for you to try. Beach Water Sports, located in Jupiter offers jet ski rentals for half hour or for a full hour. Blue Water Boat Rental, located in Riviera Beach also offers hourly rentals for one hour or two hours. Both locations allow for single or multiple people on the jet ski for others to join in on the fun.

If you would rather rent a boat, either location also provide boat rentals as well.  Jupiter Inlet Boat Rentals offers several types of boats to rent for fishing or just cruising around town.

To rent, you must bring a valid photo ID. By law you must be a at least 16 years of age to operate. In addition, you must also be required to have a Boater Safety Card if you were born after January 1st, 1988. If you’re just visiting or unsure and would like to take the Boater Safety course, each rental location is available to give a short exam, for a temporary Boater Safety Card to use during the rental period.

For those who own their jet ski, we have complied a list of local Jupiter parks that have a boat ramp to launch into the water.  Waterway Park (Jupiter), Bert Winters Park (Juno Beach), Burt Reynolds Park (Jupiter) and Jonathan Dickinson State Park (Hobe Sound), all have boat ramps to lower your jet ski or boat into the water to enjoy a day of fun.

While on the water, it’s important to follow the signs posted to have a safe, fun experience.  Make sure to be mindful of other boaters, divers, swimmers and jet ski riders to avoid unexpected accidents that may occur. Also, its important when operating the jet ski (or boat), to look in all directions and be aware of your surroundings at all times.
