Today, November 1, we celebrate National Authors Day.  Honor the prolific writers who have captured our minds by curling up with a favorite book.  Grab a cozy blanket, a nice beverage, and spending time drifting into another world.  Honoring one’s favorite authors and encouraging those who aspire to become an author. Whether we are avid readers or not, the author has likely impacted you through movie adaptations or various art mediums.

We all have that book — or two — that we can’t get enough of, and this holiday gives us the chance to appreciate the brilliant minds that created them.  Books make our lives incredibly rich. They keep us company. They entertain us. They teach us. We all have a favorite book, and we remember fondly those books that, as children, kept us company, inspired us, and taught us lessons.

A book reading can become addictive.  It can be an escape, albeit temporary, from the stresses of life. To appreciate the writers who have helped to inspire us, we must get a sense of the time, blood, sweat, and tears that go into getting words on paper. Whether it’s fiction, fantasy, or biographies, books play a major role in our lives, and we must celebrate their creators!

Visit a local Palm Beach County bookstore today and appreciate the authors that have spent countless hours writing fact and fiction.
