Palm Beach County women are reminded this week, National Women’s Health Week, to prioritize their health and wellbeing by concentrating on themselves. The intention of the week is to raise awareness about manageable steps women can take to improve their health.
Maintaining regular check-ups is one of five health habits that can improve a woman's health. The others include physical activity (walk the beautiful beaches here), a healthy diet (lots of fresh farmer’s markets in the area), not smoking and follow general safety rules (SPF every day). There are so many healthy habits easily incorporated in the South Florida lifestyle.
The focus of this National Women’s Health Week May 9 – 15, 2021, is to remind women that these appointments are vital for helping them maintain healthy lifestyles, identify issues early, and hopefully avoid serious health risks. In honor of National Women’s Checkup Day, May 10, 2021 and the FDA Office of Women’s Health encourages women to “Take Time to Care, Today”!
