Construction has begun on the new dog park coming to Jupiter. The name of park is Cinquez Park.

Cinquez Park is located where Center Street meets Indiantown Road, the proper address for the park is 2183 W. Indiantown Road.

The construction for the new park has been spilt into two phases. The first phase consisted of opening up the space which included site lighting, street parking, a building with a restrooms and storage unit, sidewalks, fencing, gazeboes, walking trails, a lake, bicycle racks, and a dog park. Construction for phase I of the project began in the early spring. A separate dog park area for small and large dogs is planned as well as dog-drinking stations.

Phase II of the project is currently planned to consist of adding additional sidewalks, more gazeboes, and potentially a tree house in or around a large Banyan tree located on the property.
Access to the 13-acre park will not be on Indiantown Road or Center Street but on the side streets of Yancy Avenue and Carver Avenue. Roughly about 80 parking spots will be planned and the park will also include a 2-acre wetlands area.

Future plans for the park that will require additional funding call for a community garden, open grass fields, and a children’s playground.

Construction for the park, according to the Town of Jupiter’s website, is expected to be completed by the end of the year.
