Palm Beach County schools will be closed on Primary Election Day. Tuesday, August 23, 2022, is Primary Election Day in Palm Beach County. In addition to other polling sites throughout the County, more than one hundred District-operated campuses will serve as polling places on that day, from 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. As such, schools will be closed and there will be no classes for Palm Beach County District students.

The use of school-based sites as polling places is in accordance with F.S. 101.71 which states in part that “public, tax-supported buildings shall be made available for use as polling places upon the request of the supervisor of elections.” Additionally, F.S. 1013.10 states in part that “the board may permit the use of educational facilities and grounds…to be used as voting places in any primary, regular, or special election.”

Please note that to vote at a school site, the Palm Beach County Supervisor of Elections must assign you to that precinct.
