Palm Beach Paddle Fest
Palm Beach Paddle Fest is a free family-friendly event taking place on Saturday, February 10th at Harbourside Place in Jupiter. The event will feature a number of exhibits, vendors, water-based demonstrations, live entertainment for all ages, and of course paddle races and relays.
The festival is for both new and experienced paddlers in different races and relays, each race will be made up of 6 categories for men and women. The categories include Stand Up Paddle (SUP) 12’6, SUP 14, Prone (for all), OC-1, Surfski Single, and Kayak.
There will be two different types of races, a 2-mile race and a 5-mile race. The races will start at Harbourside Place and head down to Burt Reynolds Park and back around, under Indiantown Bridge, around the island and back. Those competing in the 5- mile race will do the course twice and then some more.
The top finishers in each category will receive a trophy and special recognition. At the race, there will be some paddle boards and kayaks available to rent on a first come first serve basis.
The day’s events start at 9 am with Yoga at the amphitheater and registration for the races. The 5-mile race starts at approximately 10 am with registration beginning at 9 am, and the 2-mile starts at 11:30 am. A list of other scheduled events will be going on throughout the day for those who do not participate in the races.
Pre-registration for the races is available, and is $25 dollars, on the day of the race registration is $35 dollars per person to enter and participate. Click here to register.
