Nothing is more energizing than the sensational sounds of samba, plus delicious Brazilian foods, live entertainment, and other activities.  The Rio Brazilian Carnival is a free, family-friendly Brazilian-themed event in downtown Hollywood. The Brazilian Carnaval is set for Saturday, April 30, 2022, between the hours of 7:00 p.m. and 11:00 p.m., at ArtsPark at Young Circle, 1 Young Circle in Hollywood, Florida.  Hollywood is located 50 miles south of West Palm Beach in Broward County. Drive or take Tri-Rail or High-Speed Train.

The night will end in grand fashion with the thunderous drums and sensational dancers of Bateria Unidos de Miami, a real samba school that will transport the audience to the streets of Rio de Janeiro. Arrive at 7:00 p.m. for a samba percussion workshop with Miamibloco. Brazilian Carnaval entertainment will include:

-        Gafieira Rio Miami, an 11-piece band 

-        Singers Jair Oliviera and Baia

-        Gabi Lacombe

-        Samba dancers from Bateria Unidos de Miami

-        An interactive samba percussion workshop is scheduled for 6 p.m. and is also free of charge.
