Tonight, after years of preparation and work, a ribbon cutting ceremony will be held to reopen the renovated Palm Beach plaza. The event takes place in the east courtyard of the plaza at 5 pm.

‘The Royal’ is located on the intracoastal waterways, just over the Flagler Memorial Bridge in Palm Beach. Many of the tenants and locals are hoping that the new revamped plaza will become the anchor for Royal Poinciana Way and the north entrance to the island.

Royal Poinciana Plaza was built in the 1950’s, and today stands a landmarked property in the heart of Palm Beach. The 180,000 square feet property offers retail and office space, gardens, and courtyards.

Along with the revamp comes a mix of 30 new international and local tenants in addition to the current existing tenants. By reopening, the plaza will be the destination for luxury, enjoyment, and delicious food.

Last month, several stores opened before the ceremony that include: Celis Produce, Cynthia Rowley, Hermès, Vespa Palm Beach, Palm Beach Bicycle Trail Shop, St. Frank, Valentina Kova just to name a few.

Stores planning to opening soon include: Saint Laurent, Theory, Earth and Sugar, 100% Capri, Nail Lab, and more. Once the businesses open, the plaza will have a total of 48 permanent stores and 2 additional pop-up shops.

The new stores and pop-up shops join delicious restaurants such as Sant Ambroeus, The Honor Bar, Palm Beach Grill, in addition to beauty and wellness spas, local businesses, and services. Also, the plaza may be able to hold more outdoor events pending on the Town Council’s approval in the upcoming months.

In addition to the ribbon cutting ceremony tonight, Up Market, a division of WS Development in charge of the project and plaza, will be kicking off the holiday season this Friday, December 1st, unveiling the holiday decorations and a tree lighting ceremony at 6:30 pm.
