SoulCycle, the popular spin cycle fitness class is setting up a pop-up store in Palm Beach this December. The pop-up shop will last just a short time, starting from December 15th through January 1st.

SoulCycle, is a New York based company started 11 years ago, as a way to help people get in shape without spending too much time working out. The company has now spread into 9 states and in major cities such as Los Angeles, Chicago, New York, Washington D.C., and Boston.

SoulCycle is known for their stationary bike class, led by a motivational leader playing loud energy pumping music throughout the room while getting a good workout in.

This December the pop-up shop will be located in Royal Poinciana Plaza in Palm Beach for just 18 days. The pop-up shop is part of the company’s “Destination Soul” marketing campaign, designed to bring SoulCycle to areas where the spin cycle class is not available.

Palm Beach will join Aspen, Martha’s Vineyard, and Southampton, N.Y. as sites for the pop-up locations. The studio will feature a retail section with SoulCycle merchandise and merchandise exclusive to that specific location.

Currently the only permanent SoulCycle studios in Florida are located in Miami area’s South Beach, Brickell, and Coral Gables. The 54-bike class is very popular among the fitness crowd, because the class is not just riding a bicycle. The class also includes an upper-body workout, choreography, core workout and hand-weights. The company advertises that “SoulCycle doesn’t just change bodies, it changes lives”.

Classes are chosen by picking out the instructors rather than the class itself, and each instructor offers his or her own inspiring quotes and biography on the company’s website. Classes are 45 minutes long and is $40 dollars. The cost for the class includes shoe rentals that click into the bike and a smartwater. The classes offered can be paid on a “pay-as-you-go” basis rather than a membership structure, like more fitness centers.

Classes are limited, so grab your friends and enjoy the SoulCycle experience.
