It seems the West Palm Beach hospitality business is growing. A restaurant set to open July 1 is hosting a job fair at its downtown location this weekend. El Camino West Palm Beach is looking to fill two hundred positions before its opening in July 2022.

The restaurant is hosting a job fair at its location at 700 South Rosemary Avenue, Suite 232, in West Palm on Saturday, June 4, from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. The El Camino restaurant has locations in Delray Beach and Fort Lauderdale as well.

Amazon announced last week that the company will open its first Amazon Fulfillment Center in the city of Port St. Lucie in 2022. The Amazon Fulfillment Center will be over 1 million square feet. The building will be the largest in Port St. Lucie. Amazon will employ about 500 local people, offering full-time jobs with excellent benefits beginning from day one.

Amazon will operate a traditional non-sortable fulfillment center in a 1.1-million-square-foot building to be constructed on 110 acres at Midway Business Park on West Midway Road near I-95. Clearing of the site has begun, and construction is projected to be completed by late summer or early fall next year.

While the coronavirus has led to many layoffs around the country, some businesses in the Palm Beaches are still doing quite well.  G4S, for example, announced it is hiring 15,000 positions nationwide including 400 in South Florida.

G4S Secure Solutions USA is reporting an increased demand for security personnel across the country in the midst of the coronavirus pandemic.

According to WPTV, Drew Levine, president of G4S Secure Solutions USA, said,

"Given the major shift in business operations, several industries are seeing an increased need for security, and G4S is committed to meeting that need and helping our customers and communities feel as safe as possible during this uncertain time.”
