Miami Dolphins owner Stephen Ross told CNBC on Tuesday that his current plan includes fans in the stands, and that the 2020 NFL season will go on as planned amid the coronavirus pandemic.

"I think there definitely will be a football season this year," Ross said Tuesday during an interview with CNBC. "Real question is, will there be fans in the stadium? Right now -- today -- we're planning to have fans in the stadium."

The NFL has released its schedule earlier this month and plans to play its full 16-game slate on time, starting Sept. 10. The league hasn’t made any definite decisions about whether to allow fans into stadiums during the 2020 season, but Stephen Ross is optimistic that plans will continue in a safe manner.

The University of Florida, Florida State, and University of Miami all have powerhouse athletic programs any parent would be thrilled to send their aspiring football star to, but it's even more appealing that all of these schools have stellar academic standards and aren't too far from home in the Palm Beaches. Two weeks into training camp, Miami Dolphins Quarterback Ryan Tannehill is more solid than ever, and Head Coach Adam Gase is not only cheering him on, but praising his high performance as “mistake-free”.

“[In 2016,] we were all trying to learn the offense and I was trying to learn [the team],” Gase said. “That was the early stages of the offense. Really, once we hit the spring last year, [Tannehill] was just trying to fine-tune more the throws, the pinpoint accuracy. Instead of missing the throws a little bit, he was trying to put it exactly where he wanted it.”
