"Salt Life" is an expression that describes a lifestyle revolving around the ocean. The “salt life” focuses on the ocean for fun activities.  You possibly have noticed bumper stickers on cars up and down the coast as well as in Jupiter. The Town of Jupiter was shaken when two local boys got lost at sea! The AustinBlu Foundation was formed in 2015, in the wake of a tragedy involving two young boaters from Jupiter, on July 24th, 2015. Austin Blu Stephanos was one of those boys and the namesake of this foundation. 

The boys virtually grew up on the water, boating, fishing, diving, or swimming nearly every day. They worked at a local tackle shop together. They wrapped up themselves in the "salt life" of the ocean. This Foundation is rooted…

Volunteer organizations, individuals around Palm Beach County and the globe have been working with the ocean conservancy. Hoping to end the flow of trash at the source ending the flow of trash at the source. It is working to protect the ocean from today’s greatest global challenges creating evidence-based solutions for a healthy ocean and the wildlife and communities that depend on it.

The International Coastal Cleanup (ICC) unites people to remove trash from the world’s beaches and waterways. Thanks to volunteers around the world, the ICC has become a guiding light of hope, leading, and encouraging action in support of the ocean.

Since its beginning, more than seventeen million volunteers have collected more than 348 million pounds of trash.…

The Delray Beach Climate and Art 2022 annual event starts its “Call to Artists” the deadline to submit is July 5, 2022. Submit your art to be featured in our upcoming exhibit! The call to artists starts Sunday, June 26, 2022, at 4:00 pm. The exhibition will take place at Arts Garage, 94 NE 2nd Avenue, Delray Beach in August. The Climate and Art 2022: The Waves We Ride is in alliance with the City of Delray Beach.  The Marshall Family Foundation Gallery at Arts Garage in Delray Beach, Florida is leading the way in cultivating emerging local artists by offering them display space and promoting their artwork to the public and the art community.

The Andrew “Red” Harris Foundation has been building reefs off the Palm Beach County coastline for several years. The Andrew “Red” Harris Foundation was created to honor the memory of Andrew Harris, a local young man, who was struck by a boat while snorkeling in the Jupiter Inlet. Andrew loved to dive and fish, and the foundation’s work will help ensure the long-term health and vibrancy of the local marine environment.

The foundation began a substantial education initiative in 2018. The goal was to donate a 5-book set of the “Professor Clark the Science Shark” series to every third-grade classroom in Florida, 55,000 books in all! The goal was met!
