A Jupiter based nonprofit dedicated to supporting and improving the lives of people with cystic fibrosis Piper’s Angels Foundation for Cystic Fibrosis will host its signature event, The Crossing for Cystic Fibrosis, on Sunday, June 27, 2021.  The foundation hopes to bring awareness, knowledge, understanding and funds for research. 

This will be the fifth annual fundraiser with over 150 paddlers expected to paddle 80 miles from Bimini, Bahamas to Lake Worth Beach.  Among this year’s 150 participants is Scott Johnson, the Crossing’s first first-ever double lung transplant paddler. Johnson’s team is aptly named “Double or Nothing”.  Johnson will paddle in honor of his 20-year lung transplant anniversary. Raising amazing hope for so many!

The Jupiter Inlet Lighthouse and Museum is hosting their popular Jupiter Climb and Paddle event this week.

The event starts with a climb to the top of Jupiter’s iconic red Lighthouse and get your chance to see the incredible views of Jupiter and the waterways. The Lighthouse tower is 105 steps to the top and those who attend the event must be able to climb the tower’s steps.

Following the tour of the Lighthouse, the friends at the Jupiter Outdoor Center will guide the guests on paddleboards or kayaks through the waters of the Jupiter Inlet and nearby waterways for a tour and history from the water. During past events, those who attend often have seen manatees, sea turtles, birds and other marinelife along the journey.
