Since 1994 the mission has been to keep Jupiter beach clean and dog friendly. Friends of Jupiter Beach provide beach visitors and their pets with dog bags which help ensure dog beach etiquette and a clean beach for all to enjoy.

Young Friends of Jupiter Beach is back and actively serving the Jupiter community.  On the 3rd Sunday of the month, from 4:00 PM - 5:30 PM, local are students gather at Ocean Cay Park for Students from local and neighboring high schools are invited to join the group for a beach cleanup. These students are earning volunteer hours for school as well as helping keep Jupiter beaches clean.

These budding, philanthropic environmentalists are becoming the next generation of emerging environmental stewards, preserving Jupiter’s beaches, habitat, and marine life for future generations. The Loggerhead Marinelife Center announced recently that they will continue their partnership with the Palm Beach fashion icon and line, Lilly Pulitzer for their weekly Beach Clean-Ups on Juno Beach. The year-round sponsorship will include hosting specialty events throughout Palm Beach County Lilly Pulitzer retail stores and highlighting two local and late pioneering women Lilly Pulitzer and Loggerhead Marinelife Center’s, Eleanor Fletcher.

Every Saturday morning, the Loggerhead Marinelife Center hosts its weekly Beach Clean-Up along the beach near the center. In 1994, the threat of closing the beach to dogs rallied a small group of concerned citizens, who quickly began organizing beach cleanups and providing dog waste bags at beach crossovers. Since then, the group has exploded, with individuals and businesses joining in an effort which “repeatedly demonstrate care for their marine environment and the privilege of taking our four-footed friends to one of the last dog beaches in the area”.

A generous group of volunteers in Delray Beach offered additional support for the frontline healthcare workers at the Delray Medical Center, 5352 Linton Boulevard, Delray Beach. The hospital has served the South Palm Beach County community for 30 years as a 536-bed acute care hospital.  The medical center is a community hospital and a Level I Trauma Center.  The hospital offers highly specialized services such as neuroscience, oncology, cardiac care, orthopedics, rehabilitation and E.R.

As a sign of appreciation, this weekend volunteers in South Palm Beach County increased efforts to deliver about 100 care packages to healthcare workers at Delray Medical Center. The packages were filled with all the ingredients to prepare a healthy meal.…
