Typically, there are booths, tables, stands, and the public. Fresh food from a local farmer tastes and looks better. Crops are picked at their peak. Markets like these are a valuable part of the community as they offer social, trade, and environmental vitality to the community. Downtown Stuart hosts a lively outdoor concert series called Rock'n Riverwalk. Rock’n Riverwalk is presented every Sunday, between 1:00 p.m. and 4:00 p.m., by the Historic Stuart Downtown Business Association and Sunday by Stuart Main Street. Both non-profit organizations host the event at no charge to the public thanks to generous sponsors and attendee donations.

In 2000, Rock'n Riverwalk began as the concert series each Friday afternoon from October through June. Over time, the event's popularity grew, and the downtown traffic grew. The event was renamed Riverwalk Jazz Series and moved to Sundays. As popularity increased, they expanded from jazz to all genres of music, and once again the event was renamed Rock’n Riverwalk.

This season the farmers market begins with national recognition. The GreenMarket was named the #1 farmers market in the United States by USA TODAY. It is the only Florida market included in the Top 20!

The 2021-2022 season is the largest GreenMarket in history. There are an added thirty new vendors, raising the total vendor count to 100. The GreenMarket opened almost thirty years ago.
