At the end of a long workweek, Friday is your opportunity to relax and unwind. For those who like to be outdoors and take in the warm afternoon weather and get some energy out, try a bike ride through Riverbend Park.

Start your Friday evening enjoying nature at twilight hour with a relaxing ride through the tranquil Riverbend Park. The evening bike tours at Riverbend Park are led by a guide who specializes in Floridian wildlife to help you spot all of the special creatures along your tour. Bicycles are also available for rent.

Riverbend Park is a beautiful park and preserve in west Jupiter. You will cruise through the 665-acre park over creeks, through the forest and past some interesting creatures. Riverbend Park is home to a wide variety of local animals and plants.

Amenities of the park include: 7 miles of equestrian trails and special equestrian trailer parking, 10 miles of biking and walking trails throughout the pine forest and many designated picnic areas. There are three different picnic pavilions and regions spread out among the park which make it an ideal place to pack a picnic style meal and hike, bike or ride along to your desired lunch spot. The pavilions seat anywhere from 20 to 45 people and offer grills, and restrooms. You may also reserve the island picnic pavilion or river pavilion for special parties out on a swampy island. Riverbend Park also offers a concession stand that is open everyday except for Tuesday and Wednesday. Canoeing and kayaking is also encouraged and there is even a rental pavilion if you do not wish to bring your own.

The ride takes place at 7 p.m. Friday. 9060 Indiantown Road, Jupiter. $10. Reservations required. Information: 561-741-1359;
