Over the last 8 years, Palm Beach County has experienced a record breaking growth in tourism.

Just last year alone, Palm Beach County had a record breaking 7.35 million visitors, with tourism continuing to grow a hotel boom is needed across the county.

The past 10 years, tourism in the county has grown more than 45%. Locals tourism leaders say the growth in visitation, industry efforts, and new cultural attractions has led to a hotel boom.

With over 47 miles of Atlantic coastline, Palm Beach County has numerous beaches and parks to enjoy the sand and sun, as well as offering plenty of fishing, boating, and all other watersport activities.

The tourism industry contributes to more than $7 billion dollars to the local economy and employs roughly 66,000 people.

Within the next 3 years, Palm Beach County is expected to open 6 new hotels with over 700 rooms, giving tourism officials new ways to market the area as a perfect vacation destination.

Six large chains, including the Mandarin Oriental and Aloft, plan to open their doors within the next 3 years ranging from Boca Raton to Palm Beach Gardens. Four hotels plan to open by the end of next year, construction crews already began to build this month.

Due to the hotel boom and the never-ending style trends, several hotels in the area have undergone or plan to undergo renovations within the next few years to keep up.

The new hotels set to open in Palm Beach County include:

Residence Inn Palm Beach Gardens: 122 rooms, opening in 2018
Fairfield Inn West Palm Beach: 125 rooms, opening in 2018
Springhill Suites Downtown West Palm Beach: 97 rooms, opening in 2018
Canopy by Hilton Hotels Downtown West Palm Beach: 150 rooms, opening in 2018
Aloft Delray Beach: 121 rooms, opening in 2019
Boca Raton Mandarin Oriental: 118 rooms, opening in 2020
