As the world gets bigger and more and more small towns grow into larger urban areas and even cities, we have to get smarter when it comes to conserving energy. Have you ever heard of Green Roofs or White Roofs? They might just be the answer.

Most of us have probably seen or at least read about “green roofs.” Green roofs are essentially gardens in the sky. The gardens help insulate buildings in the winter and soak up storm water, reducing water pollution from urban runoff. This makes them an absolute winner when it comes to eco-friendly urbanization and they provide food for the building or home.

New York City is famous and celebrated for all of the green roofs they are implementing in the city. The city even offers tax abatements for those who add greenery…

Who doesn’t love pristine, gorgeous beaches and ultra-luxurious beach homes? If you do, Florida might just be the perfect place.  This year, two Palm Beach County towns were voted as Florida’s top beaches by the Travel Channel (a huge honor for Palm Beach County!). Palm Beach and Delray Beach made the top 10 beaches list. The local community works hard to keep Palm Beach County beaches and the surrounding real estate beautiful. We are very proud of our beaches and happy to know the nation is feels the same.

Palm Beach Island-

Palm Beach County was regarded for having over 47 miles of unspoiled seashore, but its “crown jewel” was without a shadow of doubt, Palm Beach and Delray a close second. Palm Beach Island stretches 14 miles long and a half-mile wide.…

Around 6am ET on Monday morning, Rory Mcllroy posted a picture to his Instagram in a walking boot and on crutches. The post had a caption that said “Total rupture of left ATFL (ankle ligament) and associated joint capsule damage in a soccer kickabout with friends on Saturday. Continuing to assess extent of injury and treatment plan day by day. Rehab already started..... Working hard to get back as soon as I can.”

Rehab time can range anywhere from 10 days to 6 weeks depending on the severity of the sprain. That puts not just the next few weeks, but the remainder of the 2015 season in doubt for the Palm Beach Gardens resident.

Mcllroy was scheduled to play the Scottish Open this week and his name has already been removed from the published field…

Golf.com and Sports Illustrated ranked all 50 states by their “Golfiness” and the state of Florida was given the top spot on the list. The list, compiled by Golf.com’s travel expert Joe Passov, was done by rating each state on a 0-50 scale in four categories: avidness of golfers, quantity and quality of courses, legacy/vibe, and Joe’s own rating.

Joe’s had this to say in his description of Florida:

“‘My parents didn't want to move to Florida, but they turned 60 and that's the law,’ joked Jerry Seinfeld. There are many reasons why so many PGA Tour pros from Europe and the U.S. make Florida their home: No state income tax, more courses (1,042) than any other state, terrific facilities and superb weather nearly year-round. The state also hosts a…

Royal Palm Beach resident Alan Morin carded a four day total of even par to finish in a tie for third at the 2015 PGA Professional National Championship at the Philadelphia Cricket Club. That third place finish earned the assistant pro at The Falls Country Club in Lake Worth a spot at the PGA Championship at Whistling Straights August 13th-16th.

Morin shot rounds of 70, 72, 72, and 68 to be one of the 20 PGA Professionals to earn a trip to the season’s final major.

“I’m very happy for how I played today,” Morin told the Palm Beach Post. “I grinded it out, and mentally hung in there all week. I tried to stay steady and not get ahead of myself. It’s a marathon. But it was a beautiful facility, a beautiful golf course. You can’t get better conditions…

Quail Ridge Country Club in Boynton Beach will demolish their current clubhouse to make way for a new $22 million clubhouse. According to the club's General Manager William Langley, the 40 year old clubhouse will be torn down in the next few weeks and the new one is expected to be completed in October of 2017.

Quail Ridge, which boasts two 18-hole championship courses, had it's original clubhouse built in 1975. It had been previously renovated in 1990 and again in 2001.

Langley said the current clubhouse is “traditional,” while the replacement will have more height, higher ceilings and views that overlook the putting green and practice range. It will have outdoor and indoor seating as well as an outdoor bar and nanowalls that allow the windows to…
