The Downtown Delray Art Festival returns to the streets of Delray Beach this weekend with more than 150 artists from around Florida and the nation, bringing you creations of all kinds, as per tradition!

On the waterfront streets of Atlantic Avenue and 4th, hundreds of craft vendors will be lined up with thousands of hand-made-in-the-USA art.

You'll find pottery, jewelry, paintings, personalized gifts, handmade clothing, scented soaps and body products, folk art, pet products and specialty green market items and more. The annual craft festival has something to suit every person's taste and budget and it's free and pet-friendly too!

The Coral Sky Amphitheater located at the South Florida Fair Grounds in West Palm Beach is hosting several upcoming concerts this fall. The open-air amphitheater is used for shows and concerts for some of the biggest musical stars and hottest events.

The venue is run by Live Nation, one of the largest events and venue operator and promoter in the world. The amphitheater holds roughly 20,000 people both under the venue’s awing and the grass areas surrounding the stage. The venue also includes parking, and food and drinks for purchase during the show. The Coral Sky Amphitheater is formally known as the Perfect Vodka Amphitheater.

Last month, the Town of Jupiter Council passed a resolution that supports the voluntary elimination of single-use plastic straws and overall reduction of single-use plastics. The campaign is called "PURE" which stands for "Plastics Use Reduction Encouragement," which doesn't outlaw straws and single-use plastics but prompts the community to get involved in the effort to decrease plastic pollution.

The town of Jupiter is once again celebrating the return of fall and its seasonal residents at the fun-filled Jupiter Fall Fest.

The festival will be held at the lovely Harbourside Place on Saturday, October 6th from noon-5 p.m.

Guests can enjoy live music, food from Harbourside restaurants, trucks and other food vendors, a beer garden, crafts and kids carnival.

Admission is free and so is parking.

The River Center provides a fun educational opportunity for visitors to learn about the unique Loxahatchee River system, from freshwater Cyprus swamp to the seagrass dominated estuary and marine ecosystems.

If you think you’ve got what it takes to capture the flora and fauna of the unique Florida outdoors, the Loxahatchee River Center is holding an open amateur photo contest until Tuesday, October 16th.

The competition is comprised of two age categories; Youth (17 & under) or General Amateur (18 & up), and will award winners in three content categories; flora, fauna, and human interaction.

Prizes will be awarded for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place in each category, and winning photographs will be displayed at the River Center and on their website.

The Loxahatchee River Center is located on the southeast side of Burt Reynolds Park on US1 and features over 6,000 gallons of fresh and saltwater aquariums, interactive kid-friendly exhibits, and even a “touch tank” where children can meet some of Florida’s friendly creatures up close.
