  • Vaccinations began in Florida on December 14, 2020. There are roughly 22.2 million residents.
    • 2,266,723 people have received the first dose in FL.
    • 2,791,216 people have completed the series (i.e. received the 2nd dose of Maderna or Pfizer or single dose of J&J) in FL.
    • PBC has vaccinated 133,219 (first dose only) people; 250,042 have completed the series. 
  • Florida reported an increase in new cases, but PBC was down:
    • 32,088 new cases in FL up from 31,692 the prior week; up 1.24%
    • 2,265 new cases in PBC down from 2,577 the prior week; down 12% 
  • PBC 7-day moving average of new cases declined to 317 from 362 last week.

In the midst of the upscale tropical island setting of Sailfish Marina, you will find the premiere arts and crafts show of the Palm Beaches. On any Thursday evening from 6-9pm, you may find wood sculpture, pottery, watercolors, blown glass, gold and silver jewelry and much, much more from more than 35 different artists.

What is a cypress knee you ask? A cypress knee is a unique characteristic of a cypress tree forming above the roots. Their purpose is mysterious, and they are generally seen on trees growing in swamps. Community foundations typically accept charitable donations and grant funds to a wide variety of causes, such as community services, the arts, education, the environment, health, and disaster relief within a specific geographic region. Here in Jupiter the Waterfront Way Foundation gifted Jupiter High School students a glistening new school bus as a holiday gift following a match-by-match donation. A total of $107,000 was raised for the new motor vehicle.  

The former bus was lacking air conditioning as well as wheelchair access. Without these enhancements it made transporting the students in the Exceptional Student Education Program far more challenging. The new bus will be instrumental in bringing these exceptional students to area businesses for…
