The Town of Jupiter is hosting their annual Coastal Fest 2019 this Saturday at Harbourside Place. The free family friendly event takes place along the intracoastal waterways on the Plaza down under The Riverwalk.

The coastal themed event features a kid’s treasure island filled with children’s activities, bounce houses, photo opportunities with a large pirate ship and pirates’ characters, local food vendors, beer and wine vendors, homemade crafts available for purchase and more.

The live music will be The Gratitude Steel Drum Band from 1 pm to 3 pm. Some of the local food vendors include Chowder Heads, Tropical Sips, Best French Fries, Ps561 Food Truck, Nothing Bundt Cake, Rosa Ice Cream and Blue Dog Shaved Ice.

The Surfer’s for Autism Festival is a new charity event for special needs kids in Palm Beach County. Surfing is potentially a great activity for kids with Autism. It’s peaceful, athletic, and has a built in community of people that can help kids with Autism socialize. Obviously, though, there is a bit of a learning curve, and that is where events like this come in. It’s a good for step for those learning how to surf as well as an ideal way for more established surfers, kids with Autism, and parents of kids to meet.

This weekend is Palm Beach County’s first annual Seafood and Music Festival at the Abacoa Town Center in Jupiter. Festivities begin Friday from 4pm - 10pm and continue Saturday 11am - 10pm and Sunday 11am - 6pm.

There are several weekly concerts going on throughout Jupiter and Palm Beach Gardens this weekend.

The Downtown at the Gardens host their Concerts in the Court every Friday night. The free concert in the Center Court features a diverse musical lineup of local and regional bands and tribute bands. The music features every genre from pop, rock, country, hip-hop, blues, R&B, jazz and much more. Seating is provided for you to enjoy the music. The Loggerhead Marinelife Center hosts a Kid’s Fishing Program every Saturday from October through April at the Juno Beach Pier.

Children who attend the fishing program will learn the basic fishing techniques including knot tying, casting, proper release protocols, and species identification. They will also learn about the conversation of the ocean, habit protection, sea turtle recuses, and the importance of collecting and recycling the fishing line.

The program runs on Saturday mornings from 9 am to 11 am at the Juno Beach Pier. The next one is this Saturday, March 30th. Registration is required due to limited space. The children who attend will leave the fishing program with the experience and knowledge needed to be a responsible angler.

Starting at 11:00 A.M. this Saturday you and your family can go on one of the MacArthur Beach State Park's guided butterfly walks where you can see thousands of butterflies in their natural environment. You will see different species in all different colors, from orange Monarchs to black and yellow Zebra Heliconians to vivid green Malachites.

Guests of the butterfly walks are sure to see some butterflies you’ve never seen before. The educated tour guides will explain the different varieties of butterflies and what plants they are attracted and more.
