Coming to Jupiter for three days of fun is the Jupiter Seafood Festival! This fun event kicks off on Friday, April 4 at 4pm and will continue until Sunday, April 6 at the Abacoa Town Center.  

The Seafood Festival flows through the streets of Abacoa’s Town Center. Thousands of people come out to eat the delicious and fresh seafood as well as shop the local art. The 11th anniversary of TurtleFest 2014, the Loggerhead Marinelife Center’s largest annual festival, will take place Saturday, April 5, from 10:00 am – 6:00pm (rainday Sunday, April 6th).  Over 10,000 guests are expected at the FREE admission festival, which promotes conservation through interactions with threatened and endangered sea turtles, as well as art, music, shopping, games, educational presentations, a “global village”, and much more!

On Saturday, March 29th, the Village of North Palm Beach will be hosting its annual Heritage Day Parade and Festival.

The festivities will get under way at 11am starting with the parade. The parade will start at Village Hall and is scheduled to travel north on Eastwind Drive, west of Lighthouse Drive, and south on Anchorage Drive, before finally finishing at Anchorage Park. Anchorage Park will be the location of the Heritage Festival. The festival will take place from 12-8pm and will feature carnival rides, games, live bands, carnival rides, a buisness exp, and food and beverage vendors.

Max Planck's Brain Bee

Coming to the Max Planck Florida Institute (MPFI) this Saturday, March 15, 2014 at 11:00am is the “Brain Bee Challenge.” In honor of Brain Awareness Week the highly acclaimed Max Planck institute is throwing a fun and challenging competition that tests the neuroscience knowledge of high school students.  

The Brain Bee is open to kids ages 9th to 12th grade. The students who are participating will receive a packet of “study materials” containing variety of information they will be quizzed on. South Florida saw the biggest gain in a monthly measure of national home prices replicating a slow but steady, continued upswing momentum in real estate market for Palm Beach County.   


Palm Beach, Broward and Miami-Dade counties experienced an increase in single-family home prices according to the Standard & Poor’s/Case-Shiller Index.  According to the most recently released Index, single-family home prices have increased 0.09 percent from the previous month.


Last Tuesday’s report from Standard & Poor, as well as others, point to a slight deceleration in home prices as a normal beginning of the upturn cycle at the end of February. Winter shows no signs of cooling home prices according to the Standard & Poor/Case-Shiller home price indices.  They are…

With the wind swirling for most of the day, the Champions Course made some of the best golfers in the world look like mere mortals on Sunday, leading to an exciting and action packed finish.
