In honor of World Turtle Day, yes it’s a thing, let’s learn more about the Palm Beach’s favorite reptile: the Loggerhead Turtle.

Loggerhead Turtle

Loggerhead turtles are named for their large heads that support powerful jaw muscles, allowing them to crush hard-shelled prey like clams and sea urchins. The Square Grouper Tiki Bar is a Jupiter staple. The Tiki bar sits on a strip of land jutting into the inlet that separates North Jupiter. Across the water is the Jupiter lighthouse, and out past the jetty is the open ocean. The bar itself is nothing more than a thatched-roof, open-air bar made from wood that likely washed ashore at some point. It's painted in multiple Caribbean themes. Plastic tables and chairs sit around the main bar area, which has a floor of white sand.

Square Grouper is a great place to visit during happy hour or as a great place to hand out for before or after dinner drinks. The Bar is right on the water and directly across from the Jupiter Lighthouse so you can pull up a few chairs and sit around a table in the sand while…

The Palm Beaches have over 100 miles of waterways, and when you combine that with low-tide, what you get are sandbars. Sandbars are an oasis that attracts boaters from all around to form a fleeting community that drop anchor and dip their toes in the sand for a few hours of fun. Here are a few of the most popular sandbars in Palm Beach County.

Peanut Island

After 80 years, the Island has bloomed into a popular and beautiful picnic destination. North of the island, boaters will find one of the top sandbars in the area, with ample room for boats and people who want snorkel or walk around and…
