This weekend, the Loggerhead Marinelife Center is hosting a Back to School BioBlitz event. BioBlitz is a science effort to record as many species as possible within a designated location in a short period of time.

This Saturday, the Marinelife Center is hosting the event for everyone to enjoy. The morning will be filled with fun activities to identify local marine species for science. The family friendly event begins at 8 am to 11 am this Saturday, September 7th at Coral Cove Park in Tequesta.

Those who attend can choose between snorkeling, free dive, or some other method to observe Marinelife in shallow waters. In order to participate in the event, an underwater camera is required to capture pictures. If you choose not to swim, you can help clean up the beach and participate in the Trash-Blitz instead. Check In is required for both events at the Loggerhead Marinelife Center tent.

Where: Coral Cove Park in Tequesta, 19450 County Highway
When: Saturday, September 7th at 8 am
What To Bring: Snorkel gear, underwater camera, sun screen, and a refillable water bottle
