The River Center in Jupiter is teaming up with the United States Coast Guard Auxiliary “Flortilla 52” for a Boating Safety Class on Saturday, June 22nd. The boating safety classes are aimed to promote safety on the water. The classes are aimed for children and teens but all are welcomed to attend.

The class is taught by the US Coast Guard Auxiliary in a lecture style class. Those who attend the class are required to take and pass the Boater Safety Exam to receive their safety card issued by the State of Florida. The State of Florida’s Fish and Wildlife Conversation requires that any person who wishes to operate a vessel of more than 10 horsepower and is born after January 1, 1988 must complete and pass a boater safety class.

The class is free to attend but there is a $10-dollar deposit required to hold your space. The deposit will be returned in full at the end of the class.

The next class is Saturday. June 22nd at 8 am with check in starting at 7 am and approximately lasts until 4 pm. To reserve your space, click here.

If you cannot attend this class, there will be other classes throughout the year. The Loxahatchee River Center is located at 805 US Highway 1 in Jupiter.
