The White House Health Advisor said “Once you turn that corner, hopefully we’ll see a very sharp decline.  We can look…

South Florida needs to stay informed. We need to get the latest most valid information on guidelines for prevention by the media and then plan accordingly. Addressing the unknown is very difficult. In the face of an epidemic, we are uncertain how to respond. Let’s all take a deep breath and long exhale.

Threatened by contagion, alarmed by unknown risks, we move into survival mode. We need to relax.  We ruminate. We have the urge to connect and the fear of contamination. We become inundated with mass media warnings and alarming information. Fear can pull us into anger and uncertainty. It exhausts us.

Shutting off the news and taking a walk or make a puzzle help reduce stress. Daily routines like exercise of any type, biking, running, playing…

Without moments of tranquility and clarity, even in beautiful Palm Beach County, it’s easy to go an entire day or two without hearing your inner voice. A person's inner voice “provides a running verbal monologue of thoughts while they are conscious. It is usually tied to a person's sense of self. It is particularly important in planning, problem solving, self-reflection, self-image, critical thinking, and emotions.”  This is one of the most important things you can do for your emotional and spiritual health.
