On September 23rd, Eau Palm Beach Resort will be hosting the third annual Burger & Beer Bash to fundraise for Loggerhead Marinelife Center.

Not only will a portion of proceeds benefit efforts to save the sea turtles, but event-goers will have the pleasure of participating as “judges” of burger-and-beer pairings. Eau’s head chefs will partner with local breweries in a friendly competition, and guests will enjoy all pairings before indicating their favorites on a ballot.

Participating area breweries include Due South, Copperpoint, Funky Buddha, SaltWater Brewery and Tequesta Brewing Company.

Melissa Rinaldi, a professional artist as of 4 years ago, is finishing up a mural at Harbourside Place. Commissioned by the city, Rinaldi is painting a giant map of Jupiter, as she’s known for her colorful, playful renditions of maps.

Melissa Rinaldi attended Flagler College in St. Augustine where she majored in Political Sciences and worked as a real estate attorney for 8 years. Fours years ago, she moved to Jupiter and began painting, selling her pieces online. As her popularity grew, she now has a studio at 118 Coastal Way and is working on the Harbourside mural.

Earlier this week, famous course designer, Jack Nicklaus and his wife, Barbara, opened the Golden Club Mini Golf Course on Main Street in Jupiter.

The course was celebrated on opening day by locals and even some golf pros who found the course a good challenge, with sophisticated turns and elevations that are one-of-a-kind pro designed. The course is the only putt-putt designed by Jack Nicklaus.

The concession stand on the course serves beer, wine, ice cream, milkshakes and lemonade. A dollar from every ticket sale will benefit the Nicklaus Children’s Healthcare Foundation. Jupiter’s only water TOP restaurant has been featured on Food Network’s new show “Food Boats”, and Chef Justin Lindemann is ecstatic.

According to the Palm Beach Post, producers and celebrity Chef Jordan Andino hopped on the Food Yacht in April to shoot the spotlight segment on Lindemann’s small kitchen creations. Lindemann wanted to showcase the locals’ favorite barbecue chicken burrito and lemon pepper seared tuna wrap, but producers insisted on the shrimp BLT and crab cakes.

We lost a legend today by the name of Burt “Smokey” Reynolds, and while most of us may have never met him in person, Jupiter residents certainly feel like this loss hits home. Sadly, Reynolds reportedly passed away of cardiac arrest at a Florida hospital on September 6, 2018 at the age of 82 after suffering from heart problems for a number of years. Throughout the decades, Reynolds has made countless contributions to our town, Palm Beach County, and the state of Florida, and his support of film, television, education, and sports had a profound impact on history.
