The Lionfish Derby at Sailfish Marina

One of south Florida’s prized possessions is its ocean and all of the wildlife within it. The fishing industry in Jupiter and the rest of Palm Beach County is flourishing, from sport fishing in deep waters to fishing the mangroves along the river. However, our precious waters are facing a threat. What would you do if you had the opportunity to help extinguish the problem? This weekend you will have the chance!

Just this week, wildlife officials have opened a weekend event to help take care of this invasive problem, the Lionfish. You have most certainly seen this beautiful fish gracefully gliding in large tanks and aquariums in exotic resorts. The Lionfish has slowly populated our reefs as well as the waters of the Bahamas. The problem with the…

Another beautiful day in paradise! The sun is glistening on the crystal blue waters of the Atlantic Ocean off the Jupiter, Florida’s white sand beaches.  Local fishermen are catching pompano right off the beach coastline as the sun rises colorfully over the horizon.  The colors of the early morning sunrises in Jupiter are enough to get most local artists out with easels and brushes.

No need to leave your best friend at home.  Jupiter is home to one of the only dog friendly beaches in the State of Florida.  Dogs are allowed in the “non guarded” areas from Juno Beach to Jupiter.  It is requested that your pet is on a lease or under your voice command at all times, that you clean up after your pet, and that your pet is not bothering other beach-goers. …

The islands of the Abaco’s are a small chain of islands found in the Bahamas. Together they are known as the “boating capital of the world!” these small islands are surrounded by warm, clear waters and white sandy shawls. Each island boasts its own style but they all fit into a charming colonial theme. The homes and resorts are colorful and quaint. The landscaping of the islands is lush, brimming with palm trees and shrubbery dotted with fiery, orange flowers.  You will be immersed in tropical wildlife. Beautiful birds call home to these islands, and the waters are teaming with life. Standing on the beaches of the Abaco’s you will see porpoises and turtles come up for a breath, starfish and sand dollars lay still in the shallow waters.

Do you love the beach? Then move to Palm Beach County! This year, two of our towns were voted as Florida’s top beaches by the Travel Channel (a huge honor for Palm Beach County!). Palm Beach and Delray Beach made the top 10 beaches list. The local community works hard to keep Palm Beach County beaches and the surrounding real estate beautiful. We are very proud of our beaches and happy to know the nation is proud!

It is no secret that Jupiter is recognized for its fishing. In fact, Jupiter holds a good reputation for much more than just fishing (golf, real estate, celebrities, shopping, dining and entertainment, to name a few), but if you are looking for a new adventure and access to a boat doesn’t rest at your finger tips, try chartering! There are endless opportunities for you and your friends, kids or family to go out on a fishing charter here in Jupiter.

Because Jupiter has been proclaimed one of the best sport fishing areas in Florida, the business of fishing charters has flourished. We have a couple of great recommendations for local captains who know the waters of Jupiter like the back of their hands.

While living in one of the happiest seaside towns in America, Jupiter, Florida residents and visitors are basking in the sun on white sand beaches and tropically landscaped resort styled pools.  Wisconsin is known for its cheese (yummy, but stinky!), Michigan is known for its factories (go Detroit!), and Florida is known as the SUNSHINE STATE!  And yes, there is good news about sunshine!  It is healthy for you!  Did you know that in small increments, sunshine can make a positive difference on your health?

The good news is that sunshine stimulates the production of serotonin which then promotes a good mental outlook and fights Seasonal Affective Disorder.  Seasonal Affective Disorder is a kind of depression that occurs, usually in the winter, builds…

Lost Tree Village in North Palm Beach is a community within a community.

There is a well-appointed beach club that serves lunch and dinner throughout the week. There is a clubhouse for residents that is the perfect place for parties, receptions and fundraisers. And there is Lost Tree Chapel, which offers nondenominational worship services every Sunday throughout the season.

The North Palm Beach real estate has an 18-hole golf course with Mark McMahon’s design signature on it; the course later was updated by the legendary Jack Nicklaus, a Lost Tree Village resident.

The community swimming pool has food and drink service, the tennis courts have professional instructors, and the fitness center is staffed by personal trainers who offer everything from…
