In support of local restaurants in Jupiter and Palm Beach Gardens, Villain Bike Boutique at Downtown Palm Beach Gardens will host a biweekly bike tour on Tuesdays and Thursdays.

The 15-mile, three-hour ride leaves at 7:30 p.m. from Villain Bike Boutique, at 11701 Lake Victoria Gardens Avenue, Suite 3106. 

Riders will make up to three stops at local restaurants including Paddy Mac’s, Twisted Trunk, Das Biergarten, The Cooper, Salute Market, Rocco’s Taco’s, Voodoo Bayou and Scusi. The ride is free, and any food purchases are up to the rider.

Bikers may bring thier own bike and helmet or rent an electric bike from Villain at a discounted rate.

Jupiter Inlet Lighthouse and Museum is hosting their popular Twilight Yoga at the Light. Every Monday night throughout the month of September, head to the iconic red lighthouse for a Yoga class.

The outdoor Yoga classis held on the Lighthouse Deck at sunset every Monday night. All levels of Yoga are welcomed and encouraged to attend. The class size is limited, and registration is required online to reserve your spot.

The class is taught by yoga instructor Mary Veal. If you plan on attending, you are asked to bring your own yoga mat and water bottle, and all those who attend must wear a mask and adhere to social distancing guidelines. The Yoga class lasts approximately an hour.

Amazon is coming to the Gardens Mall. Beginning today, September 16th, Amazon customers can buy toys, books, kitchen gadgets, electronics and more at their new 4-Star store.

The giant online store is set to open its doors in the Gardens Mall for its first general merchandise store in Florida at 11 am. The store is located on the first floor near Nordstrom’s of the popular Palm Beach Gardens mall.

The new 4,500 square foot Amazon store will carry everything that received a 4-star rating or greater on their website. Products include everything from electronics, games, books, toys, home goods, kitchen items and much more. This September, several restaurants along PGA Boulevard in Palm Beach Gardens are offering special dining deals and specials for the entire month. The month-long event is called Savor September and the menu offer three-course meals for a certain price depending on each restaurant.

The idea was formed when the popular Favor Palm Beach dining event was cancelled this year and restaurants around the area wanted to give diners the opportunity to dine at their restaurants with special dining deals and promotions. Downtown Abacoa in Jupiter is hosting a similar event this September called Dine the Drive. Last month, Delray Beach celebrated their Restaurant month for the entire month of August.

The Marine Industries Association of South Florida, along with show producer Informa U.S. Boat Shows and Broward County, announced Thursday that the 61st version of the annual boat show will go on as planned with new safety protocols. 

Precautions will include contactless ticketing system, 14 entrances, docks widened to up to 30 feet, temperature checks, and sanitization stations. All exhibitors and attendees will be required to wear face coverings, and all customer lines – including entrances, restrooms, and food and beverage stands – will be spaced out, with visual markers every 6 feet. This September, several restaurants along Town Center Drive in Jupiter’s downtown Abacoa have teamed up to offer special September dining deals. The dining deals are part of their month-long promotion called Dine the Drive.

One restaurant owner formed the idea after hearing that Flavor Palm Beach, the county’s largest dining-deal promotion will not be returning until next year. Shortly after the idea was formed, many downtown Abacoa restaurants joined in.

Restaurants along Town Center Drive will be offering three-course menu options and specialty prices during the month of September.  The restaurants participating include Brick and Barrel, Jumby Bay Island Grill, Das Beer Gardens, and Stadium Grill.

Palm Beach International (PBI) Airport announced it achieved GBAC STAR facility accreditation, ensuring proper cleaning protocols, disinfection techniques, and work practices are in place to combat biohazards and infectious diseases.

This facility accreditation, which is administered by the Global Biorisk Advisory Council, a Division of ISSA, properly equips PBI for effectively combating reoccurring biohazards or infectious disease risks. 

PBI is the second airport in the United States and the first airport in Florida to receive the GBAC STAR facility accreditation.

Signs of fall are coming to Palm Beach County. Although the weather is still warm and sunny, fall activities are getting ready to open.

The West Palm Beach GreenMarket is preparing to return to the West Palm Beach waterfront this October for its 26th season. The popular GreenMarket is a fall centerpiece for downtown West Palm Beach.  On Saturday mornings, hundreds of people and vendors line the streets and display some of the best local produce and homemade goods.

Traveling to and from the West Coast to South Florida is about to get easier. Palm Beach International Airport announced recently that JetBlue has plans to add a direct flight from Palm Beach International Airport to Los Angeles, California.

JetBlue announced Thursday, that they will be offering non-stop daily flights between Palm Beach and Los Angeles starting in November. The first direct flight will be beginning on November 19th and will depart LAX at 8 am PST and arrive in West Palm Beach at 3:52 pm EST. Currently the average flight time from Los Angeles to South Florida is around five hours.

The East coast to West coast flights will depart PBI at 5 pm EST and is scheduled to arrive in Los Angeles at 8:33 pm PST.

Take your boat to the movies. This Saturday, September 12th the Futures Recovery Healthcare partnered with the Jupiter Pointe Club and Marina for the first local boat-in movie theater. The event is to honor the second annual Jupiter Recovery Day.

Jupiter Recovery Day is an annual event founded by the Tequesta based Futures that honors and celebrates recovery from mental health and substance use disorders in the local community. All proceeds from this weekend’s event will benefit and be donated to Believe With Me, a local charity supporting families of fallen soldiers. The event is open to the public.
