The French Canadian singer, Celine Dion, has extended her Las Vegas residency.  This will extend her contract to perform 70 shows a year at The Colosseum in Caesars Palace through 2019.

The superstar’s 22,775 square-feet, Bahamian style oceanfront home has been on the market since August of 2013.  The estate is situated on 6 acres of prime Jupiter Island real estate.  The home features 13 bedrooms and 14 bathrooms and 6 half baths.  Initially the property was listed for $72.5 million in 2013.  A year later, the residence was reduced to $62.5 million and more recently, it was reduced to $45.5 million.  Further reduction has brought the listing price down to $38,500,000.00.

Change up your Friday night routine this weekend with a “Movie in the Park” in Boynton! Every first Friday of the month at the Ocean Avenue Amphitheater there will be a movie screening with a different top rated film open to the public. All you have to do is bring your blankets and picnic chairs and family or friends to relax with a movie beneath the stars.

The Taurids meteor shower will be falling over south Florida this week. The Taurids shower is not necessarily known for being the most explosive meteor shower in the cosmos but what it is known for is a astronomical phenomena, fireballs.  

The Taurids shower will create tons of vivid, long lasting, ultra bright meteors called “fireballs.”  Fireballs are often more bright than the planet Venus, which is the brightest planet in our solar system. “The Taurids are actually broken into two streams, the North Taurids and South Taurids, but are collectively known as the Taurid Complex. All Taurids are debris from the comet Encke, which is named after German astronomer Johan Franz Encke, who discovered it in 1786.”

Loggerhead Marine Life Center - 5 Turtle Release The Loggerhead Marine Life Center in Juno Beach had their largest turtle release to date, and five rehabilitated turtles were put back in the ocean and sent on their way. Brie, Bruce, Pearson, Shertz and Treble all have fully recovered and were brought back to the beach and encouraged to go back home.   More than 500 people showed up to watch, as the five turtles were brought down to the beach, and placed near the water’s edge. Now that the housing market has steadied after more than a decade of difficulties, this could be the perfect opportunity to invest in a home. It is said that South Florida is an earmarked real estate market and it’s driving the prices of real estate up. 

The Case-Shiller 20 City Index noted that home values rose 5.7%.  Leading economists think prices will continue to rise, at least in the interim.
