This morning Governor DeSantis visited Jupiter to announce that all 67 Publix pharmacies in Palm Beach County are getting ready to offer the COVID-19 vaccine beginning later this week.  The Town of Jupiter, located at 210 Military Trail, Jupiter, released the following update:

“Vaccines will be provided by appointment only through Publix system, based on availability.  Publix is maintaining a COVID-19 vaccination page where they are updating information when new vaccine locations are added and appointments are available.

The iconic Palm Beach hotel, The Breakers is celebrating its 125th Anniversary in 2021. The hotel was founded by Henry M. Flagler, one of America’s great industrialist. The Breakers Hotel was founded in 1896 by Flagler, and Flagler is known to have transformed South Florida into a popular vacation destination.

Henry M. Flagler first made his debut on the island with the construction of The Royal Poinciana, a six-story hotel located on the intracoastal side of the island. Today, The Royal Poinciana Plaza is home to numerous high-end shops and boutiques and award-winning restaurants. The first day of the Stuart Boat Show was well received and with hopes for a better weekend turnout. Day 2 of the largest boat show on Treasure Coast will open for the second day this weekend, Saturday January 16 at 10:00 a.m. The annual boat show has been named as one of the “Top 20 Events” in the Southeast by the Southeast Tourism Society last year.

Lilly Pulitzer (1931-2013), the famed Palm Beach clothing designer, thought it would be fun to incorporate her name in the patterns of her dresses. Its that time of year again for the annual South Florida Fair. This year, the South Florida Fair is bringing everyone two fairs in 2021. The first fair which starts tomorrow January 15th through January 31st will be a mini fair and the full traditional fair will be held in May of this year.

The mini–South Florida Fair rolls into West Palm Beach this January 15th through 31st. The upcoming fair will be held outdoors and include the typical fair foods and beverages, a variety of local and tribute bands performing daily, shopping from local vendors, a giant sand sculpture, racing pigs, farm animals, rides, fair games, and much more.

Did you know that there are only two marked graves in Palm Beach?  Hidden among the dense green ferns of the Pizza Al Fresco courtyard off Worth Avenue, you will find the only cemetery in Palm Beach proper. Side-by-side in a lushly landscaped courtyard, down a Via, just off Worth Avenue you will find to old headstone markers. Neither belongs to a human being.

It was announced in December that the popular ArtiGras Art Festival held every winter will be moving back to Palm Beach Gardens. For the past 20 years, the annual art festival was held in Jupiter but due to construction, the festival is moving back to Palm Beach Gardens.

Recently, the festival organizers have announced that they are looking for volunteers to help partake in the weekend activities. The entirely outdoor festival is taking over the Gardens North County District Park the weekend of February 13th through February 14th, 2021.

Jupiter’s Abacoa hosts a weekly Open Air Dining every weekend throughout the winter. Dine outside along Town Center Drive in Jupiter at one of several restaurants located within Downtown Abacoa.

The Open-Air Weekends Dining Event will feature live music and great food in the streets this winter. Several restaurants move their tables outside and onto the street for the weekend event. The Open-Air Dining is every Friday and Saturday night beginning at 4 pm to 10 pm.

Downtown Palm Beach Gardens has added a new outdoor fitness program that offers a fun, calorie burning ways to stay healthy. The outdoor shopping and lifestyle center is hosting two fitness classes this January as part of their Downtown Collective X Fitness class series.

 Head to the Downtown Park starting today, Tuesday, January 12th for outdoor Zumba with Jeanne. The Zumba classes are taught every Tuesday and Saturday morning at 9:30 am. Zumba is an exercise fitness program that combines music and movement to incorporate interval training with fast and slow rhythms.
