The 21st Annual Holiday Boat Parade of Palm Beach is coming to town this Saturday, December 5, 2015. It is a cherished event in the area and local residents prepare for it for weeks. 

A major event of the Marine Industries Association of Palm Beach County (MIAPBC) and festive present to society, the Annual Holiday Boat Parade will set the bar even higher this year. The 2015 21st Annual Palm Beach Holiday Boat Parade kicks off the holiday season this year on Saturday, December 5!

In years past the famous Palm Beach Boat Parade collected more than 18,000 toys for needy children in Palm Beach County!  Favorite area businesses and local municipalities continue providing ongoing support for the Marine Industries Association of Palm Beach County event.

The City of West Palm Beach will present its Holiday Tree Lighting Thursday, December 3, 2015.  It is the world’s only 35-ft-tall holiday tree made from 600 tons of SAND.  The sand tree, “Sandi”, comes to life tonight with dazzling music and light show.  There will be entertainment and family-friendly holiday activities and a special visit from Santa.  The festivities continue rain or shine, on the Waterfront in Downtown West Palm Beach.

Get ready to try some of the best gourmet food on wheels!  Food Truck Invasion is heading to the Village of Tequesta for a Food Truck Pow Wow at the Constitution Park.  Be sure to bring your folding chairs or blankets to picnic on the lawn.  This is an outdoor picnic where food trucks of different origins, cuisine and menus prepare food that is cooked to order.   A great deal of fusion cuisine, comfort foods and sweet treats to choose from.  Sometimes there are some lines but they are worth the wait.  The whole family is welcome and encouraged to attend since this is a family friendly atmosphere.

The Holidays are right around the corner and south Florida will start lighting up with beautiful ornaments and festive décor. Taking place tomorrow is the annual celebration of the Delray Beach Tree Lighting. 

Every year around the holidays Delray Beach lights a 100-foot Christmas tree. The tree is a famous ornament that decorates the Old School Square grounds. It is so large that spectators can even walk through the enormous tree.

The week of Thanksgiving is typically one of the more exciting weeks during the college football season. Most schools either play their in-state rival or a rival from their conference. The result is a heated battle on the field, and a bevy of trash talking off the field from each team's fans. As a result, the City of West Palm Beach is turning its downtown waterfront area, specifically Myer Amphitheatre into "South Florida's Largest Tailgate Party".
