Hike Through History At The Jupiter Lighthouse

Posted by Ali Kane on Wednesday, July 3rd, 2019 at 9:22am.

The Jupiter Inlet Lighthouse and Museum is hosting their reoccurring Hike Through History this Saturday, July 6th.

The hike includes a 2- mile journey through the 120 acres of the Lighthouse Natural Conservation Area to learn about the nature and history of the historic site and the lighthouse. The site is just one of three natural sites in the United States. The natural site is protected by the Bureau of Land Management’s National Conversation Land Programs.

The hike is this Saturday starting at 8:30 am at the Lighthouse and will meet at the Flagpole. The program is open to all and children must be 5 years old to participate. Those under 13 years old must be accompanied by an adult. Proper footwear, active wear, a hat and a water bottle are suggested during the hike. The hikes are weather dependent, so be sure to check their website for more information.
