Jupiter Hills will make Florida golf history this month when it hosts the U.S. Amateur Four-Ball Championship on May 19th-23rd, making it the first course in the state to hold multiple USGA Championships. 

Jupiter Hills was created by Hall of Fame architect Tom Fazio, who designed more than 40 courses in Florida. Fazio has 14 courses on Golf Digest’s 100 Greatest Golf Courses- more than any other designer alive.

The Jupiter Hills course is different than any other because it is built upon natural hills of a sand ridge that runs all the way up to Vero Beach. The Jupiter Inlet Lighthouse and Museum is hosting their popular Hike Through History this Saturday May 5th.

The hike includes a 2-mile journey through the 120-acre Jupiter Inlet Lighthouse Natural Conservation Area to discover the history and nature of the historic Jupiter site. The site is just one of three natural sites in the United States that is protected by the Bureau of Land Management’s National Conservation Lands Programs. The streets of downtown Abacoa Jupiter will be shut down at noon on Saturday to prepare for a Cinco de Mayo Block Party for all ages from 4-10 p.m.

There will be lots of fun things for the kids to do from 4-6 p.m. including mini golf, face painting, temporary tattoos and a pinata.

For the adults there will be a cornhole tournament, beer pong and a dance party all evening long. DAS Beer Garden will be serving a Cinco de Mayo-inspired beer list with tequila barrel-aged brews, Mexican coffee stouts, margarita goses and churro cider. The Loggerhead Marinelife Center in Juno Beach is a non-profit sea turtle hospital, rehabilitation and research center. The center’s mission is aimed to protect and promote the oceans ecosystems and to be one of the leading destinations to provide for injured and endangered sea turtles before being released back into the ocean.

Guest who visit the Loggerhead Marinelife Center can support the sea turtles through their ‘Adopt a Sea Turtle’ program. The Royal Poinciana Plaza in Palm Beach hosts a weekly outdoor yoga session every Thursday from 9 am to 10 am. Haute Yoga studio in the Royal Poinciana Plaza in Palm Beach has announced that their weekly outdoor yoga sessions have been approved by the Town Council.

Haute Yoga has opened in the plaza five years ago when they plaza was just offices and salons. Up Markets has purchased in September 2014 and the plaza has undergone renovation and restoration to bring the plaza back to how it was originally envisioned.

Are you a Star Wars fan? This weekend the Roger Dean Stadium in Jupiter is hosting a Star Wars night while the Palm Beach Cardinals vs the Jupiter Hammerheads.

Come watch some all-American baseball with out-of-this-world appearances by classic Star Wars characters.
