According to National Bridge Inventory statistics, the Town of Jupiter has 46 bridges!  Collectively the bridges average daily traffic of 1,137,448 vehicles and of that 94,108 of those vehicles are trucks.  That is an awful lot of traffic in our quaint little beach town.

One of the busiest bridges in the world is the George Washington Bridge, which links Manhattan to New Jersey by crossing over the Hudson River. The bridge has 14 lanes for motor vehicles and almost 102 million automobiles annually. The George Washington Bridge is 1,283 feet long of suspension and considered an engineering phenomenon. The St. Patrick’s Day Parade in Lake Worth  

Come out to the St. Patrick’s Day Parade in Lake Worth with family or friends for a fun day of wearing green, green beer and Irish traditions. The parade will be taking place on March 13 at noon and is sponsored by Wheels for Kids. This festive event is to benefit the foundation that helps get kids who need a wheel chair their own wheel chair. At the St. Patrick’s Day Parade in Lake Worth this year, a customized wheelchair that was donated for a child in need will be revealed.

In a recent study by the National Association of Homebuilders, the following features in homes are the most wanted by various age groups.  Outcomes indicate that new buyers are insisting on the latest energy efficient and environmentally “smart home” features.

ENERGY STAR rated appliances are appliances certified by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (E.P.A.). In 1992, the E.P.A. announced ENERGY STAR ratings as a “voluntary labeling program designed to identify and encourage energy-efficient products to reduce greenhouse gas emissions.”  Across the generations, all new homeowners preferred and requested ENERGY STAR rated appliances.  Note other important features desired by homebuilder’s buyers.

Wheels for Kids was established in 2003 to “provide custom wheelchairs to children with special needs who can neither purchase them nor qualify for public or charitable funding.”  Customized wheelchairs are costly and children outgrow them quickly.  Many middle class families that have children with disabilities find it difficult to keep up with the advanced evolution and cost of wheelchairs.  Many families with special needs children fall between the cracks of private insurance and government support.  Wheels for Kids addresses these needs by directly helping the families.

The Miami Marlins and the St. Louis Cardinals come to the Jupiter community of Abacoa for spring training and each year flocks of people migrate to Abacoa’s Main Street.  Main Street is just adjacent to Roger Dean Stadium, and a pleasant area to walk and enjoy dinner al fresco.

Sebastian Inlet is part of the east coast’s surfing epicenter and one of the biggest beach breaks on the Atlantic Coastline.  The inlet is located at the southern end of Sebastian Inlet State Park in Brevard County and Indian River County.  It is home to the largest concentration of surf shops and board builders.
