North Palm Beach Country Club Opens Its Newly Redesigned Golf Course
For the past eight months, the North Palm Beach Country Club’s golf course has under gone renovations and recently reopened its municipal course to the public. The golf course is located within a couple miles of some of the world’s best.
Construction on the course began in May of 2018 and was a major part of a project conducted by the Village of North Palm Beach. In addition to a redesign of the golf course, the project also calls for a new clubhouse which is scheduled to open later this year.
The North Palm Beach Country Club was built along the Intracoastal waterways in the 1920’s. The course was one of Seth Raynor’s last designs and some of his features has been lost throughout the years. In 2006, the course had a complete redesign by the professional golfer and long time North Palm Beach resident Jack Nicklaus.
The latest course redesign was led by Chad Goetz of Nicklaus Design. The course renovations included a new set of forward tees, expanded pin areas on many of the greens, restored the bunkers back to their original, re-grass of the entire course, expanded cart paths and parking areas. The 18-hole course also features two tough holes located directly on the intracoastal. The two holes are routed on top of a natural sand dune that provides elevation changes, not often found in South Florida.
The pool and the Tennis Center remain open during the construction of the new clubhouse. The new clubhouse will feature 37,000 square feet and will include a restaurant and two-stories that will have open views of the golf course.

The North Palm Beach Country Club is located at 951 U.S. Highway 1 in North Palm Beach.
