The Norton Museum of Art in West Palm Beach has recently reopened after being closed for months of renovations. The Museum hosts their Art After Dark series on Friday nights.

Every Friday night the museum stays open later for the event and features a series of different programs every week. The next Art After Dark series is this Friday, April 5th and this week will feature a performance by Poet Lenelle Moise. Moise will perform both music and poems that move between the memories of her growing up as a Haitian immigrant and pop culture. Ellen E. Roberts will be there leading a Curator Conversation about the Ralston Crawford Across Media exhibition and the museum’s cinema will present the classic film “Moon Over Miami” in the gardens of the museum.

In addition to the performances, exhibits and films there will also be a special jazz night with music by the Tchaa Tchaa Band. Tchaa is a South Florida hip hop and jazz group that combines originals with covers and every style of music. Jazz Night starts at 7 pm to 9 pm on select Fridays.

Art After Dark starts at 5 pm until 10 pm and the admission is free. The program is geared towards adults. While at the museum you’ll have a change to tour the museum after hours and attend a talk, see an exhibition, participate in an art activity, or sip and dine at the Norton’s new bar and restaurant.

The Norton Museum of Art is located at 1450 S. Dixie Highway in West Palm Beach.
