Face coverings will be required in multiple cities and county-owned buildings starting January 3, 2022. A Palm Beach County representative said it decided this based on the need to provide critical government services and keep buildings open for residents to use. More details are available on the Palm Beach County Florida Department of Health.

"The CDC recommends wearing masks in public indoor settings, and the public in areas of substantial or high community transmission regardless of individual vaccination status," it said in a press release.

This mandate includes Palm Beach County and the City of Boynton Beach. Law enforcement could issue a trespass warning and remove any individuals who do not comply with the policy.
