Restaurants worth the drive to Palm Beach, North Palm Beach, or Palm Beach Gardens. Here in Southern Florida restaurants come and go, but good ones stick around! Try at a couple eateries and decide for yourself.

Northeasterners may already be familiar with Almond, which has restaurants in the Flatiron district and Bridgehampton (in Southampton, Long Island), and is known for its artisanal French-influenced comfort cuisine and ethnic street food. Now the style isle of Palm Beach has a location opening. The address is 207 Royal Poinciana Way, Palm Beach. 561-355-5080 .

Farmer’s Table in North Palm Beach just opened this Christmas with a sprawling 20,000 square-foot restaurant at the Village of North Palm Beach Country Club ‘s new Clubhouse (a project that reportedly cost $20 million). The restaurant has multiple banquet rooms that can handle 200 people, a Farmer’s Table Express grab-and-go meal pickup, indoor and outdoor bars as well as a snack bar at the Village’s swimming pool. Golfers can have Express delivered to them on the links, which were designed by Jack Nicklaus. Like the other Farmer’s Table eateries, the menu is billed as using ingredients, produce and products from eco-conscious purveyors and for environmentally friendly practices in the kitchens. The address is 951 US Highway 1, North Palm Beach.

PGA Commons in Palm Beach Gardens has a new restaurant, Scusi Trattoria, by chef Laurent Tourondel. This is the Chef’s first restaurant in Palm Beach County. He has managed more than 40 restaurants globally, including Miami, New York, Hong Kong, London, and San Juan. The Italian seaside fare includes made-on-site pastas, pizzas, small plates, and made-from-scratch gelato. The address is 4520 PGA Boulevard, Suite 100, Palm Beach Gardens.

Spoto’s Oyster Bar may not be exactly new, having opened in 2002, but the restaurant just finished a major renovation that added a covered outdoor bar with a fire pit and redesigned the dining room, including adding oyster shell chandeliers. The menu also got an overhaul with added vegan options and lighter fare. The address is 4560 PGA Blvd. Suite 100. Palm Beach Gardens.
