This Thursday, the Loggerhead Marinelife Center is planning on releasing another healthy sea turtle back into the ocean. The center is planning to release James IV on Thursday morning at 10:30 am with pre-release procedures beginning at 10 am.

The event will start at the Loggerhead Marinelife Center at 10 am where the center will go over how they found the turtle and its recovery process before being released.

James IV was brought to the center in early April and is a juvenile loggerhead sea turtle. The sea turtle patient was hooked by a recreational fisherman at the Juno Beach Pier. While in the hands of the sea turtle research and rehabilitation center, the sea turtle received antibiotics and was cleared to be released last week.

The Sea Turtle Release will be at 10:30 am this Thursday, and you are asked to arrive early to get a good viewing spot. The Sea Turtle Releases are weather dependent so be sure to check their website for more details.

The Loggerhead Marinelife Center is located at 14200 US Highway One in Juno Beach.
