Tomorrow, the Loggerhead Marinelife Center is planning on releasing another healthy sea turtle back into the ocean. The Center will release Bovenizer off Juno Beach tomorrow morning.

Bovenizer is an adult male loggerhead patient that was found in the Florida Power and Light’s intake canal in Port St. Lucie. The turtle was underweight and was brought to the center in Juno Beach in April for medications and treatments. Last week, Bovenizer was cleared to be released back into the ocean and has gained weight.

The preparations for the release will begin at the Loggerhead Marinelife Center tomorrow at 10 am. There you will learn the story of Bovenizer and the turtle’s journey and preparations for being released. A procession to the beach will follow where the turtle will be released into the ocean shortly after at 10:30 am. The Loggerhead Marinelife Center will also be live streaming the event on their Facebook page.

The Sea Turtle Releases are weather permitting, so be sure to check their website for more information.

The Loggerhead Marinelife Center is located at 14200 US Highway One in Juno Beach.
